Save the Children Sierra Leone - News Brief

In recent months, new staff members have joined Save the Children Sierra Leone Country office to work in achieving the organization’s objectives, mission and goals geared towards saving and safeguarding the lives of deprived and marginalized children. These new members of staff have ended an intensive online courses and off-line induction sessions from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th July 2019 respectively. 

The purpose of these intensive weeklong online and off-line engagements is for staff members to fully understand how SCI systems works and polices that are applicable.

Welcoming the new staff members, the Country Director, Heather Campbell emphasized SCI’s three breakthrough i.e. Survive, Learn and Be Protected. ‘You are now a representative of Save the Children nationally and internationally, therefore it is important to always remember the mission and vision by trying very hard to deliver on time, work harder, be honest, clear, show kindness and maintain the culture of integrity’ she added.

Some of the courses conducted were Fraud, Bribery and Corruption, child safeguarding, sexual harassment, safety and security, global induction, finance etc.
