In the first four weeks of its roll out, Save the Children’s Game Application on adolescent sexual reproductive health “Mi bodi nar mi rayt” (My body, my rights) has reached nine hundred and fifty-three (953) adolescents; 557 girls and 396 boys - in all four Danish TV-"Mek wi tok bot Mammie en Daddy Biznes" project communities.

Save the Children Sierra Leone is conducting a rapid assessment of children in selected communities to find out how COVID-19 is affecting their lives.  Through frank conversations with children aged five to eighteen years, the assessment will find out how much information children have about COVID-19, how they feel about school closure and concerns they have about staying at home.

Today, the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education announced that it has overturned the decision in 2010 which has banned adolescent pregnant girls from going to school. This will now be replaced by two new polices ‘Radical Inclusion’ and ‘Comprehensive safety’ of all children in education.
