"Fourah Bay College Social Work Students Gain Insight into Our Work in Sierra Leone


28th February 2024, Freetown - This morning we had the pleasure of hosting 14 first-year students from the Social Work Department of Fourah Bay College at our office on 71 Sir Samuel Road. They have visited to familiarize themselves with our organization's work and its impact in the country. Deanne Evans, Director of Programs and Operations guided the students through our programs in the country.

8 September 2022 - Gwen Hines, Chief Executive of Save the Children UK, said: “We are enormously honoured and grateful that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth served as our Patron from 1952 to 2017. During her 65 years as Patron she made an invaluable contribution to building a better world for children. Her passion and dedication will never be forgotten.

#MaskUpSaveTheChildren Campaign

To support government efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, Save the Children is embarking on a Mask Up Campaign.

Starting June 2020, we are calling on all staff, children and organisations we work with to ALWAYS Mask Up at the office and in public places.

This campaign aims to raise awareness on the benefits of using a face mask to protect others as well as ourselves from COVID - 19.
